TRADER TRANSITS

Saturn conjunct North Node

As covered in our publication, When to Buy and When to Sell: Combining Easy Indicators, Charts, and Financial Astrology (available on Amazon), and our Planet Power – Saturn, blog, dated 6-1-24, the planet Saturn signifies structure, restriction rules/laws, limitations, and hard work, and in the business world, represents institutions, banking, and real estate. Saturn urges a disciplined, realistic, and “proceed with care” approach to life, including financial endeavors.

The North Node (of the Moon), as discussed in our Trader Transits - Mars conjunct North Node blog, dated 5-5-24, represents fate in a sense, and has been determined to be closely related to the U.S. business cycle, which runs for about 18.5 years. The North Node recently entered the sign of Pisces in February of 2025, where it will remain until July of 2026. Historically, the North Node in Pisces symbolizes a slowing business/economy environment, with the bottom of the cycle occurring when it enters Aquarius, which it will in the 2nd half of 2026. This does not necessarily relate to the U.S. Stock Market performance, however, as there are many factors involved, including other transits.

The Saturn/North Node conjunction, officially begins on April 21, 2025, and occurs approximately once every 2 ½ years. The energies will begin prior to the third week of April, however, as these slow-moving entities enter their “orb” well before that date. This conjunction will take place in the sign of Pisces (representing the 12th house of the zodiac), which signifies illusion, endings, mystery, and confusion. Pisces is a water sign, ruled by the planet Jupiter (expansion), and tends to have opposite energies of Saturn. The combination balances the two, resulting in a give and take, or sometimes push and pull action.

Together with the current Venus AND Mercury retrogrades (which will end in the coming days) also occurring in Pisces, the equities markets have experienced an anticipated significant drop, as well as large price swings, synonymous with both.

As we have discussed in the past, the themes of many transits and aspects tend to repeat themselves, and the energies can be felt for some time before and after the actual date of the event. As we also noted in previous blogs, both Venus and Mercury are associated more with swing-trading than longer-term investing, as they quickly move through signs.

The general belief among financial astrologers is that this time frame is to be treated as one of caution, and tight risk management, with no “illusions of grandeur” in these volatile times. Keeping share sizes small until volatility subsides is important, especially when attempting to “buy the dip” as high-flying stocks appear to be “on sale.” They can always go lower in the short term, and there will be a “safer” time in the future.
