SIGN LANGUAGE

Sagittarius

As discussed in Chapter 4 of our publication, “When to Buy and When to Sell: Combining Easy Indicators, Charts, and Financial Astrology”(available on Amazon), and our Sign Language – Introduction blog dated 3-24-24, the zodiacal signs are part of every individual and business birth charts, based on date and time of birth, incorporation, or first public trade date on an equity index.

As documented, the general/mundane zodiac begins with the sign of Aries (as the 1st house), and the houses then move counter-clockwise around the zodiac wheel, until they reach the 12th house, completing the cycle. Also noted is the fact that the 2nd, 5th, 8th, and 11th are the financially focused houses, though others can have minor influences. On our website we will periodically discuss these energies regarding the mundane/general collective and the U.S. Stock Market first trade date chart.

Today’s focus is the sign of Sagittarius, which resides in the 9th house of the zodiac (based on the Aries Rising chart). Sagittarius is a fire, mutable, male sign, ruled by the planet Jupiter. This signs’ traits include ambition and optimism. Sagittarius is a “fun-loving”-themed sign, symbolized by the Archer. As mentioned, whenever a specific sign “season” occurs, the Sun shines its energies and brings it to the forefront, and Sagittariusseason” (when the Sun is traveling through the sign of Sagittarius) runs from November 22 through December 21, in 2024.

The 9th house is not generally a financially focused house, however, this season is met with financial planetary aspects and the contentious U.S. Presidential election. The associated Sagittarius energies noted earlier also suggests market gains (historically positive time of year), though caution is necessary post-election, as it is likely to create volatility, in addition to both Mercury and Mars retrogrades (discussed in previous Planet Power blogs) occurring during this season.

This Sagittarius season includes a few interesting planetary aspects, including the beginning of the planet Pluto’s official entry into the sign of Aquarius, where it will remain for almost 20 years. The ingress will occur about 1-2 days prior to Sagittarius “season”, and possibly setting the stage for major transformation in the global market conditions. Be aware of these energies just prior to, and after, tomorrow’s U.S. Presidential election, and be diligent to conduct research regarding how any investments may be beneficial, or not, based on the result.

The energies of the Uranus retrograde, located in the latter stages of Taurus (money), which began on September 2nd, and will not end until January 30, 2025 (ending in Aquarius), will potentially affect Sagittarius, as it has Scorpio, Virgo and Libra. Uranus is known as the great “disruptor” so watch for additional violent market swings and trend changes through Sagittarius season.

The planet Venus (which represents money, fashion, and love), which entered the sign of Sagittarius on October 17, will leave on Tuesday, November 12, just prior to the beginning of Sagittarius season. Venus moving into the sign of Capricorn (ruled by Saturn), suggests a bit more caution and restriction regarding the markets, as the U.S. Presidential election bears watching.

Some sectors to watch for this Sagittarius season as the Sun and Mercury occupy the sign, include communications, financials, and technology, for potential gains. The consumer “staples” and consumer “discretionary” industries may flip-flop in the coming month or two, as the holiday spending season approaches, skewing actual retail sales figures. Taking some profits and holding cash for future opportunities continue to be a consideration for the time being.

The beginning of Sagittarius season is traditionally positive for equity markets, with the holiday “spirit” combined with increased trader/investor. November has become the best month of the year for gains in recent decades, as seasonal strength has become the norm, especially in the final two years of the presidential cycle. The transits discussed for this year, however, remain very interesting, and the last two weeks of this season, following the election, could be very abnormal.

Finally, all birth/natal charts are unique, and every individual (or business) possesses its own set of planetary and sign positions in each house.
